This is not after the movie “Fantastic Four”, but a matter of great importance and something that I am deeply concerned about. Last week, the CEOs of Google, Facebook, Apple, and Amazon were asked to testify before the Senate of the United States of America. Sounds alarming right! Here is a question for you, can you name other companies that provide services similar to these companies? Most likely the answer is a NO. The Senate shared the same concern. These tech-giants are growing at an exponential rate. The services they offer have made our lives much easier and will continue to do so. If this continues, will small businesses and startups get a chance to be born and look at what life of Earth is like ?

The BigTech are like massive whirlpools in the oceans. You choose to either get sucked into the whirlpool and disappear forever or contribute and make the whirlpool bigger. Each located at a different part of the world and each marking territory. This is how the story plays out. So there is NO room for new independent ideas to grow. But remember, even these giants took baby steps to reach this far. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance they all said, but it doesn’t mean they can cross the boundaries to achieve the same.

Rules are rules, and none can violate them. Each must be given a fair share of opportunity. We need to hear everyone’s side of the story. Innovations and ideas should be let to thrive and have their share of failures and success.
This is what the Senate emphasized upon to ensure that the markets are a fair place. I completely agree to this. What about you ?
