Today marks the official end of the Women Techmakers Engineering Fellowship, conducted by TalentSprint and Google, which I have been a part of since March 2020. WTEF (now called Women Engineers, WE) is a program that aids women in kickstarting their tech journey. The selection process comprised 4 rounds. The first 3 rounds were based on Aptitude, English language proficiency, and Coding. The last round was a personal interview. At the time, we were told the boot camps will be in-person at Hyderabad, but that didn’t happen due to obvious reasons. There were 5 boot camps, all conducted virtually. The entire experience has been nothing short of a miracle for me. When I look back, getting into this program was a watershed moment that led to so many other opportunities. I have grown as a person and as a professional. The 2 years weren’t easy, lot of ups and downs, but in the end, as our mentor Asokan said, we deserve to be here because of our hard work.

The amazing women

The Talentsprint and Google teams were kind enough to organize an offline event in Hyderabad on 16th April 2022 for all of us, 126 girls to meet and finally experience the thrill of an offline event. It was an amazing day. Yet again, I realized the true power of our community, a group of extremely ambitious and smart women with immense diversity, with similar goals and aspirations

Inside the TalentSprint Office, Hyderabad

I am forever grateful for being given this opportunity, and this is just the end of a start, the start of being acquainted with this extremely talented group of women 💃💃
